Hi

I am having problems with ColorCorrect_v3.4.85.9_x86_Beta6 crashing my Max 9 (32bit) running on windows XP 64.
Is there something I could try to rectify the problem?

Thanks,

Marek

OK. found the answer to the problem:
Do not work on "hot" or "warm" material in editor. instead make a copy of the material you wold like to edit, add Color Correct there and put this material back to scene.

Hi,
I have the same problem, but only accasionally...
I have the same problem with the "f-edge" plugin, so maybe this is not problem with ccorrect, and the only solution is to make the material first, and then assign it to the object....

Great plugin,
Thank you!

Thanks for the information aleksandarkazi,
If I can get step-by-step repro instructions for the crash, I will be able to check it out. Until then there's not much I can do.

Say you have a normal (in my case vray) material assigned to an object in Max, when you add color correct and tell it to 'keep old map as sub map' then it always crashes. If however, as the last poster said, you copy the material, edit it, and reassign it to the object then it is fine.

Only happens when a bitmap is involved. Its fine for colors.

Thanks for a great plugin!

Hmmm. I fail to repro that crash here (on 32 bit XP). But I don't have Vray to test with.

When it crashes, which renderer the material editor is using? It may be related to the active medit renderer. I'll keep poking it but meanwhile if someone comes up with steps to crash it with standard max materials and tools, please let me know.

I'm using max 9 64 bit, vista 64, vray 1.5

Actually, I dont *think* it happens all the time... It might just be when I'm in an old scene (with an older version of vray). I can try making a brand new scene - that might narrow it down a bit at least.

Will reply to this thread with results.

Peter
