Someone plz help me, havin problems with unwraping 3d legs mesh with boots attached on the bottom.
I only select the legs with polygon mode and not the boots uapply a UVW map and use texporter, apply texture from photoshop and the texture leaks into the boots even though they weren't selected in edit mesh mode.

Currently you have valid texture coords only for some part of the mesh and you force the whole object to use the same material which requires texture coordinates.

In order to have different textures for different faces of an object, you should either use multi-sub material with different material ID's for the faces, or you should have valid texture coordinates for "ALL" of the faces and use a mask to determine the texture boundaries.

I'd suggest the first way. Apply different material id's to trousers faces and boot faces. And use a multi-sub material.
