I'm using textporter for max5 and I'm having a problem when I apply the bitmap to my 3d model. I use chilliskinner to unfold my model and then I use the textporter utility generate the planar bitmap. However when apply the bitmap, the model has jagged black seams running through all my unfolded polygon pieces. When I do a full render of my object, the seams are not as bad but still noticable.
Another thing I have noticed is that 3Dmax is showning my bitmaps in very low resolution in the display windows (as compared to when I have them in Photoshop or when it's rendered). Is there a configuration setting in 3ds max that will allow me to view the bitmap at the true resolution?
