I've read a lot of pages about texporter but there is
not one who clearly describes step by step how to
create a flat image of my character to paint in

Can someone please write it here for me ?
How do I create the flat image and how do I
put it back on my character ?

I have installed the plugin.

Please no stupid answers, I have been searching
for several hours to finally use this plugin.

As you may have already found, there is a step by step instructions on how to create a template image (to paint the real maps on) and how to assign it back to the object in Texporter's help file (which is in the zip you have downloaded).

If you tell me which part you are having trouble with, I think I can be of more help.

(I hope that this answer does not fall into "silly answers" category as you stated )

Hi thk,
I can recommend you of the book:'modeling a character in 3d max' (by paul steed), which on it's final chapter deals with texporter in a step by step
manner, texture pages size...
